LEICESTER’S Lion Cubs side has been completed ahead of the first UK team meeting of the year.
And Connor Mountain, a member of last season’s Championship winning Lions side, has agreed to make a return to club colours for the trip to Scunthorpe on Monday (3pm).
Mountain had been lined up for a switch to Newcastle for the wiped out 2020 Championship campaign but will be representing the Roger Webster Lion Cubs in the historic meeting at the Eddie Wright Raceway.
And he’s joined by skipper Danyon Hume, who is a popular member of the Cubs side and is hoping to land a Championship spot next year.
Joe Lawlor, another familiar face to Leicester fans, has also agreed to race alongside the Thompson twins, Dan and Joe.
Reserve places go to Tom Spencer with both Kean Dicken and James Chattin sharing one of the roles. Max James and Ashton Vale will be the 250cc riders who will appear in four races with their scored added to the overall total.
Leicester co-promoter Stewart Dickson said: “We’re delighted to be working closely with Scunthorpe to be in this meeting, the first team event of the year.
“Our manager Dave Howard has a strong team to work with and I’m sure it will be a good day out for the fans attending.
“Hopefully we’ll be in a position soon to be able to welcome some fans back to our track and we can arrange a return against Scunthorpe.”
